Resistance Thermometers > 07 - Industrial Thermoresistance

The various assembly configurations of industrial resistance thermometers aim to adapt to the conditions of use in an industrial plant, where they will be subjected to more aggressive conditions.

The difference with the standard resistance thermometer is caused by the use of platinum with a lower purity content, of the order of 99.99%, due to prior contamination made with the aim of reducing subsequent contamination during its use.

However, its range of use is smaller than that of the standard resistance thermometer, with a limit of use higher than 850°C, due to the strong contamination it suffers.

The main quality of the industrial resistance thermometer is its excellent precision, with models available with precision of 0.1% to 0.5% in its range of use. It is possible to reach ± 0.015°C, when it is calibrated and used with appropriate instruments and thermostatic means, which gives it the "status" of secondary temperature standard.
