The product
The Cryogenic Vertical Sealless Pump AC-32, by Nikkiso ACD, serves LNG filling stations, fuel loading and LNG peaking plants. It pumps nitrogen, argon, methane and ethylene, with a flow range of 20 – 460 gpm (75 – 1,514 lpm). The AC-32 is available in multiple sizes and is not suitable for oxygen service.
How the Cryogenic Vertical Sealless Pump AC-32 works
The pump and motor are fully flooded with liquid. As a result, the AC-32 minimizes start-up and downtime and guarantees quick, responsive pumping.
The sealless design requires no mechanical seal. Therefore, it minimizes maintenance requirements.
The electrical motor and bearings are cooled by the cryogen being pumped, which extends their life. In addition, heat input is minimal and is carried off by the discharging liquid.
A low NPSH inducer is coupled with a variable speed soft start motor. This way, the pump eliminates cavitation at start-up.
