The product
For over 50 years, Drexelbrook has been a global leader in capacitance-based water content measurement. We offer industry-leading pressure and temperature ratings, and our capacitive probes can withstand pressures up to 1500 Psi and temperatures up to 450°F.
Our popular Universal IV CM Series is a high-quality water content meter, also known as a water content monitor or BS&W, with a range of 0-50% in light oil and 0-80% in heavy oil.
It is built based on Drexelbrook’s expertise in RF Admittance, allowing the electronics to ignore wax and other coatings that accumulate on the probe.
The Universal IV CM features a unique Cote Shield that is integrated into the Universal IV CM series, allowing the instrument to ignore a predetermined length of the sensor element.
This water content meter comes with a Perm-A-Seal sensor element that does not require epoxy coatings that wear out and require expensive maintenance.
When using this water content meter along with our HRTWin field configuration software or the new STExplorer PC, configuration is possible from any point along the two-wire loop.
The Universal sensor element is selected based on tube size, wetted parts, NACE requirements, and pressure/temperature. Drexelbrook offers a wide range of probes to fit virtually any required application.
All water content meters feature a built-in LCD display and keyboard, and they leave the factory pre-calibrated, requiring only a single-point validation.
The Universal water content meter is intrinsically safe and approved for hazardous locations Class I, Div1, and Zone 0.
