The product

The SIGRIST ScrubberGuard combines proven individual components in an innovative all-in-one system, complemented by maritime refinements that are unique worldwide. This combination also convinced the jury of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Central Switzerland, which awarded SIGRIST-PHOTOMETER AG the IHZ Innovation Award 2020.

How the ScrubberGuard works

The certified measuring system is characterized by its non-contact free-fall measurement, which ensures that the optics always remain clean. Another important point for constantly reliable measuring values is the ingenious 2-level system, which efficiently eliminates air bubbles.

In order to guarantee maximum operational safety, recalibration is performed automatically, even decentralized, e.g. from the command center. These features are unique worldwide.

Applications

The ScrubberGuard reliably and continuously monitors the scrubber wash water for the measuring parameters turbidity, oil traces, pH value and temperature according to MEPC.259(68) for exhaust gas cleaning systems. This ensures compliance with the legally regulated guidelines of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), valid since 1.1.2020.

The complete system has been specially equipped with unique maritime finesses for the demanding process and environmental conditions on:

  • Cargo vessels
  • Cruise liners

Key features

  • Non-contact free-fall measurement: the measuring cell will not get contaminated, for reliable measured values at any time
  • Ingenious system eliminates air bubbles: continuously reliable measured value
  • Automated recalibration: can be triggered decentrally from the command centre, for maximum operational safety

Alutal, Sigrist’s sales and service partner in Brazil, would be pleased to show you the possible applications on site or assist you with your projects, providing competent advice and local support in the practical use and service of the ScrubberGuard.
