The product
The Cryogenic Cylinder Filling Pump NOVA, by Nikkiso ACD, serves light to medium cylinder filling. It pumps nitrogen, oxygen and argon. In addition, it reaches a maximum discharge pressure of 5801 psi (400 bar), with a flow range of 0.79 – 4.5 gpm (3 – 17 lpm).
How the Cryogenic Cylinder Filling Pump NOVA works
The NOVA has a vacuum-jacketed horizontal cold end. As a result, the pump reduces heat leakage. Its in-line pump assembly is also perfect for operation with thermosyphon tanks.
The inlet design provides positive pump feed, which lowers NPSHR. The unique suction valve position also keeps NPSPr low.
A fixed or variable speed electric motor drives the pump through a V-belt. The CL-6 drive end has oil-lubricated bearings for extended operation. In addition, a lantern intermediate piece sits between the cold end and the drive.
Applications
- Light to medium cylinder filling for flow rates up to 15.5 l/min and up to 420 bar discharge pressure
Liquids pumped: nitrogen (N2), oxygen (O2) and argon (Ar).
