The product
The Cryogenic Vertical Turbine Pump VTK, by Nikkiso ACD, is a state-of-the-art submerged motor pump. It serves barge-to-ship and ship-to-ship bunkering, low pressure marine fuel systems and FSRU loading and off-loading. The VTK pumps nitrogen, argon, ethylene, ethane, methane and propane, with a flow range of 1,000 – 2,500 gpm (3,785 – 9,462 lpm). The line is available in multiple sizes, including the VTK-240.
How the Cryogenic Vertical Turbine Pump VTK works
The VTK is highly efficient, at over 70%. As a result, it lowers operating costs and heat input into the fluid.
The design is modular, at 60 PSI per stage. In addition, high efficiency hydraulics work with an extremely low NPSHR inducer.
The pump features a permanent magnet motor and heavy duty ceramic bearings. An active thrust balancing system also extends bearing life. A special design VFD drive provides operation point control over the entire pump operating range.
